Ko Fusion: Experience the Perfect Blend of Asian Fusion Cuisine

This evening my dad and I came to this restaurant for a fancy night out for UIUC dads weekend. We were met by our server Kevin who was inviting and attentive. He did a great job explaining the menu and providing us with some great recommendations. We had a mixture of hot and cold dishes. The Korean BBQ wings were so good I did not have a chance to photograph them before they were gone. The sushi is up to par with any great metropolitan area. There is a good combination of comfort food and something spicy and exotic for everyone. My dad can attest to the fact that the wines were hand picked and well suited for the cuisine. Lastly, the menu is broad but no too big, and is focused on freshness and quality. Even the desserts were surprisingly fresh and light, a perfect ending to a perfect meal (pistachio sponge cake and mascarpone cheesecake). Highly recommend!

OVERALL REVIEW 7/10 Parking is free; you receive a coin when you leave the restaurant. The restaurant was decorated by interior designers from Chicago. The restaurant’s atmosphere is more elegant than any other in the area. The bathrooms are clean and fully stocked. The restaurants tables and floors were clean. We ordered 3 salads and 7 different rolls of sushi. Our service was very good; our server was attentive to our every need. There is outside seating at this establishment. I have attached photos of our drinks, food, and receipt.

We really enjoyed our dinner here with family. The food was excellent and served promptly and was presented beautifully. I especially enjoyed the Fusion Maki roll, which was fried with a panko crust. It was unique and delicious! Also, their fried vegetable dumplings were probably the best tasting dumplings that I have ever had anywhere. They have a large indoor dining room, covered outdoor seating, and a full bar. Prices are moderate, but well worth it for the amazing food! I would definitely recommend reservations (especially on weekends) because this restaurant is very popular and gets very busy sometimes. There is street parking available and a few nearby parking lots. Also, in this area of downtown there are plenty of bars to visit, and they have live street music in the Summer to enjoy. We will definitely return here sometime and will recommend it to others.

I had a business dinner at this place. It is decent. Their appetisers are okay, nothing over the top. Seems clean. Their cheese curds were good. The service was decent, and they were professional. The sushi rolls were good, standard. I wouldn’t come again to this place unless someone invites me to. Seems like a good option for a casual evening dinner.

Well this is a place I’ll have to visit again. Stopped in to check it out for a beverage and appetizer before a work dinner. Really fun and upscale vibe with plenty of seating options including a number of seats at a beautiful bar and a few private rooms. Friendly and informed staff help make food and beverage selections. Delicious sushi rolls and really excited to come back and try more. Definitely on the pricier side but I think worth it for the quality of food and atmosphere.

This is my second time visiting Ko Fusion, once for lunch, and the other for dinner, and both times have been out of this world! Our server was a young gentleman named Samuel Philips, he took exceptional care of us, his warm smile brought a level of comfort money can’t buy! When figuring out what to order he was an expert on everything on the menu and steered us in the right direction! The food all came out hot, fresh, and quick, the Phenix role really hit the spot and had a really cool presentation! Overall the food was excellent, very filling, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very modern and clean! Would highly recommend if your visiting town or a local, would be great for a special occasion, or a simple date! 10/10!!
